Fizzy Melting Snowmen
Despite warm December temps in New Orleans, Science Club members at Dominican built their own Fizzy Melting Snowmen, made of white play clay with a baking soda base. The snowmen were decorated with red string and black and orange beads. When vinegar was poured over the snowmen, the acidic vinegar reaction with the baking soda melted the snowmen into a slushy, bubbly puddle of water, salt and carbon dioxide gas.
