St. Mary's Dominican
Student Preachers

In July 2010 the Preaching Team committed to preaching the Gospel in the following ways:

-To continue to be a visible presence in our school including that the preaching team prepare and lead afternoon PA prayer.

-To provide more opportunities for service as a school community.

-To educate the school community about the Millenium Goals.

Dominican High School welcomed students from Mount Saint Dominic Academy in Caldwell, New Jersey.  Following Hurricane Katrina, Mount Saint Dominic donated money to plant two trees in Dominican’s courtyard and raised funds for Dominican’s library.  Students from Mount Saint Dominic visited New Orleans to volunteer with lowernine.org as well as an organization that works to help rebuild the wetlands.  During their trip to New Orleans they visited with Dominican’s student preachers and enjoyed dinner and a show on Dominican’s campus.
