Craft Club is open to all DHS students. The goal of craft club is to provide students with the opportunity to develop their creative abilities through a variety of craft activities. Besides from making beautiful weekly crafts, the Craft Club also decorates the Dominican High School Christmas Tree at Celebration in the Oaks. This year, due to the overwhelming response of our students, 8th & 9th Graders will meet on BETA Fridays and 10th, 11th, & 12th will meet on ALPHA Fridays!
Meetings are held during the second Lunch/Activity period every Friday in the Art Room in St. Mary’s Hall. Dues are $25.00 annually.
The Craft Club Officers decorated Dominican’s Tree for Celebration in the Oaks! Inspired by Dutch impressionist Vincent Van Gough’s, “O Starry Night,” the Craft Club’s Christmas Tree entry for Celebration in the Oaks at City Park is “O Holy Starry Night.” Gold and blue decorations made by the club adorn the tree that is part of the Christmas trees entries by local schools. The Craft Club Officers decorated Dominican’s Christmas tree for Celebration in the Oaks. Our theme is “A Black and White Christmas Night.” The Craft Club made penguin ornaments out of recycled 2-liters and 20 ounce plastics bottles. The tree is located near the Storyland entrance when entering from the Amusement park.
