The Roaring Twenties took center stage for St. Mary’s Dominican High School students in English teacher Erin Baker’s class. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which offers a critical social history of America during that time, was the backdrop for student presentations on the era’s culture, literature, evolution of Jazz music, fashion, Prohibition and crime. A student-produced video featured student portrayals of Amelia Earhart, Al Capone, Gertrude Stein and F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the class participated in a Shim Sham dance lesson.
