Thursday, December 11, the Dads’ Club of St. Mary’s Dominican High School arrived on campus to load vehicles with gifts collected for the school’s annual Adopt-A- Family program. Each year Catholic Charities reaches out to schools in the Greater New Orleans area to be a part of their annual Adopt-A-Family program. Dominican’s gifts and donations from the school’s students, alumnae, faculty, and staff are given to families in the New Orleans area.
The students adopted 115 students from Lafayette Academy and 103 individuals (28 families) from Catholic Charities Baronne Street Transitional Housing. Faculty, staff and alumnae adopted 16 individuals (five families) connected to the Dominican community. Click here to see the photo gallery!
