From March 6-8, several Dominican students competed in a variety of athletic and academic events at the Junior Classical League State Convention in Baton Rouge.
In Academic Testing
Callie Oliver – 1st place Roman Art and Archaeology
Callie Moran – 3rd place Greek Decathlon
Kaitlyn Tholen – 1st place Greek Decathlon and 2nd place Latin Mottos and Abbreviations
Elizabeth Champagne – 3rd place in Greek Mythology, Roman Art and Archaeology, Roman History, and Latin Meter, 2nd place in Academic Decathlon, 1st place in Roman Literature and Roman Life and Customs, and 4th place in Academic Testing Overall

Maggie Conrad – 2nd in the obstacle course
Genevieve Mattei – 3rd in the Catapult design competition

Kristina Plunkett – 1st in English Oratory, 1st in Girls’ Costume and 3rd place sweepstakes in Creative Arts

Clare Plunkett – 2nd in Decorative Stitching and 3rd in Impromptu Art
Genevieve Mattei – 2nd in the Doll category and 1st place in Sculpture
