Students Mission Bound

Over the Mardi Gras Break, 12 St. Mary’s Dominican High School students are mission bound to Santo Domingo where they will bring 21 large suitcases packed with school supplies of pencils, crayons, and tablets, plus clothing and toiletries to students at Espíritu Santo. Accompanying the students will be two Dominican alumnae and parents serving as chaperones.

The students will volunteer at Espíritu Santo, a school founded more than 20 years ago by the Adrian Dominican Sisters in the community of Villa Fundación. This is the third year for the Dominican students’ mission trip to the school where enrollment is 1700 students who range from pre-school four-year-olds to high school senior.
