St. Mary’s Dominican High School senior Victoria Salazar was recipient of a travel award to the University of Salamanca in Spain. She was among 30 students from the US, and the only one from Louisiana, recognized as outstanding AATSP Exams scholars who took their Spanish beyond the classroom through an enriching immersion experience at the University of Salamanca.

This year’s Study and Travel Abroad experience offered the students who applied through the National Spanish Exam the opportunity to continue developing their Spanish while fully immersing themselves in the life and culture of Salamanca. The scholars enjoyed 20 hours of Spanish language and culture coursework through Cursos Internacionales at the University of Salamanca, studying at the High Intermedia and Advanced levels and using Spanish naturally throughout their daily experiences.

¡Disfrutaste cada momento, hablaste mucho español y creaste recuerdos inolvidables en Salamanca!
