At recent ceremonies, St. Mary’s Dominican High School honored faculty and staff for their service years that ranged from five years to 30 years.
Recognized for 30 years of service – Jamie Lassere, (Vice President, Advancement), Marcia Peyton, (Instructional Area); and Ashley Reso, (Chair, Mathematics).
The 25-year honorees – Erin Baker (English) and Matthew Foss, (Chair, Science and Math Faculty).
20 years – Charlene Ford (English and Mathematics), Anne Kerth (Social Studies), JoAnn Schexnayder (Mathematics), and Denise Vo (Chair, Foreign Languages).
15 years –Angelle Caffery (Fine Arts).
10 years – Katey Alexander (Dean, Student Services), Monica Haag (Mathematics), Madelyn Maldonado (Science), and June Rabalais (Advancement).
Five years – Adam Naquin (English), Julie Pitisci (Counseling), Andrea Rye (Counseling), and Dr. Maureen Wright, O.P. (Vice President, Dominican Catholic Identity).
Retiring employees Theresa Maquar (Science), Marcia Peyton, Cathy Rice (English), and JoAnn Schexnayder were presented with Veritas, a painting by New Orleans artist Becky Foss who was inspired by St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s iconic fountain symbolizing the continuous flow of knowledge and wisdom.
