Endowed Gifts

Each year, partial awards are granted to students who have exhibited academic excellence. The criteria used to determine the recipients of these awards include elementary school standardized tests, grades, conduct and effort grades, involvement in activities and the composite score from the placement test administered at Dominican in the spring semester. Several of these awards have additional criteria designated by the donor, such as: being Catholic, financial need, etc.

At the present time, Dominican considers an endowed scholarship to have a principal of not less than $60,000. Fully endowed scholarships are awarded yearly. Scholarships established with a $30,000 principal are awarded every two years; scholarships established with a $15,000 principal are awarded every fourth year; and scholarships established with a $7,500 principal are awarded every sixth year.
