Friars’ Visit to Dominican

Fr. Scott O’Brien, O.P., the former Novice Master and currently the Vicar Provincial and Bro. Carlos Salas, visited Dominican where they met with President Dr. Cynthia A. Thomas, Guidance Counselor Bro. Roger Shondel, O.P.,  and Jill Cabes, Vice President of Dominican Catholic Identity.

Bro. Carlos Salas, a Novice for the Southern Dominican Province of St. Martin de Porres who is making his Novitiate at St. Dominic Priory in Denver, Colorado, was visiting the various apostolates where the Southern Dominican Friars minister in New Orleans. In addition to St. Mary’s Dominican High School, the Dominican Friars minister at St. Dominic Parish, St. Anthony Parish, Archbishop Hannan High School, Xavier University, Notre Dame Seminary, Archdiocese of New Orleans Hispanic Apostolate, Archdiocese of New Orleans Office of Evangelization, Ochsner Foundation Hospital, St. Joseph’s Seminary College, Tulane University’s Center for Catholic Life, Provincial Office of St. Martin de Porres Province, and elderly Friars in residence at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center. There are 25 Dominican Friars ministering in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
