APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Application opens on Wednesday, November 12, 2025
TO BEGIN THE 8TH GRADE APPLICATION PROCESS
Student enrolled in Catholic elementary school
- NOVEMBER 2025
- Catholic elementary schools will distribute the Archdiocese of New Orleans application form on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Student will submit the completed form to her Catholic elementary school on Friday, November 14, 2025. Catholic elementary schools will submit student’s completed application form and academic records to St. Mary’s Dominican High School.
- Applicant will create an account and complete the Dominican High School application available online on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. An email confirmation will be sent once an account has been created. The account will be used to track the application process and upload required documents. Note: A student enrolled in a Catholic elementary school must also complete the Dominican High School application in addition to the Archdiocese of New Orleans application form.
- DECEMBER 2025
- Applicant will receive the December mailing. The December mailing contains important information about the Dominican application process. It will include specific details about the High School Testing Day and Applicant Interviews.
- JANUARY 2026
- Attend High School Testing Day on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Mary’s Dominican High School. Please note that the $30 Application Fee will be collected on High School Testing Day.
- Attend Applicant Interview on an assigned weeknight evening.
- FEBRUARY 2026
- Applicant will be notified of their acceptance on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Student enrolled in non-Catholic elementary school
- NOVEMBER 2025

TO BEGIN THE TRANSFER APPLICATION PROCESS
Transfer students are students in grades 8-11 that are currently enrolled in another high school. Transfer students are considered on a case-by-case basis and should contact Kailyn Smith for more information regarding the process.
