At St. Mary’s Dominican High School, the Counselors work with students within a personal, social, academic, and spiritual context. Students are assigned a counselor upon entrance and will remain with their counselor through graduation. The counseling program is a developmentally comprehensive program that guides students along their high school journeys. Counselors work confidentially and collaboratively to meet the needs of each student. Counselors are available to communicate with parents and to facilitate conferences with teachers as needed. To promote the most collaborative educational process, parents are encouraged to communicate directly with teachers as concerns arise.
In addition to the six School Counselors, a College Counselor is available to assist students and parents throughout the college application process.
