On February 10, the Legacy Gala: A Night for All Generations brought together Dominican alumnae, parents and supporters who enjoyed an evening of dining, dancing, silent and live auctions at The Cannery on Toulouse Street.
Among the silent auction items eight science laboratory drawers, reincarnated into art by alumnae artists from Louisiana and Texas. The drawers were in science teacher Julie Cristina’s science laboratory from 1963 to 2014.
The evening’s festivities began with a Patron Party where guests were entertained by the Dominican Jazz Ensemble. Throughout the evening Gala attendees enjoyed culinary offerings from over a dozen favorite establishments. Vieux Carre was the night’s entertainment.
