Cool weather and bright skies welcomed over 400 children and their families at St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s annual Easter Egg Roll, presented by the Alumnae Association. A bounty of 2,000 plus brightly colored Easter Eggs delighted toddlers who searched for them in The Peace Garden in Honor of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, while the older children canvased the campus grounds and filled their baskets. Finders of gold eggs discovered inside of them a special ticket for selecting a prize.
Children of all ages enjoyed the petting zoo where miniature ponies, rabbits, chickens, a llama, pig, and other four-legged friends got close to Easter Egg Roll guests. Children also made crafts and met the Easter Bunny for photos.
A highlight was the release of more than 100 butterflies to help replenish their depleting population.
