Ringing in Start of Senior Year

Seniors started their first month of their final school year with the Pom Pom ring tradition in preparation of receiving their senior rings. Pom Pom rings were made by the juniors who gave them to members of the Class of 2018 and performed a skit to mark the occasion. Instead of turning the pom pom ring, tradition is to flick the pom pom.

Seniors also tried out their caps and gowns during a class assembly. They will wear the gowns for Ring Day, Induction, Academic Honor Day and the Baccalaureate Mass. At graduation ceremonies in May, the seniors will wear their caps and gowns when they cross the stage to receive their diplomas.
