For the freshman class, threading the eye of a needle and sewing a button to material may not be part of their studies; however, they were introduced to this basic life skill and guided by visiting alumnae who included an airline pilot, an artist who teaches sewing at a fabric store, and a recent Dominican graduate who is studying fashion design.
The sewing session was among the goals developed by the 9th Grade Student Formation Advisory Committee that is comprised of administrators, faculty, and staff.
