School Closure Beginning Monday, March 16

Dear Dominican Parents and Guardians,

Following directives from Governor John Bel Edwards’ proclamation on March 13, 2020, to close all schools K-12th effective Monday, March 16 – Monday, April 13, St. Mary’s Dominican High School will be closed during this period. The exams scheduled for next week have been canceled. All school-related activities previously scheduled during this time frame are canceled/postponed until further notice.

We know this announcement prompts many questions. More specific information and updates for students and parents regarding Dominican’s distance learning protocol will be communicated next week. In the Dominican Catholic tradition, we turn to our faith. Please join us in praying for all affected by the Coronavirus and for public officials and healthcare workers.

Peace and blessings,

Carolyn F. Favre, M.Ed., Principal

Cynthia A. Thomas, Ed.D., President
