Five St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s student-athletes have signed college scholarships, marking the first of this many signings at the school in the past decade.

Emily Adams

• signed a basketball scholarship with Millsaps College
• selected to the Clarion Herald’s 2019-2020 Elite Girls Basketball Team
• named to the 2019 First Team All-District Team

Stella French

• accepted a soccer scholarship to Mississippi College
• five-year member of Dominican’s soccer program
• team captain since her junior year.
• last season she had 212 goals and 15 assists
• selected to the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches’ Association Division-I All-State First Team (2019-2020)

Claire Sekinger

• signed a softball scholarship with Southeastern Florida University
• member of the 2017 and 2018 State Runner-Up Teams
• member of the 2019 State Championship Team
• Dominican’s 2020 softball season was curtailed due to the pandemic

Elise Simon

• signed to join the softball team at Spring Hill College
• member of the 2017 and 2018 State Runner-Up Teams
• member of the 2019 State Championship Team
• The pandemic curtailed Dominican’s 2020 softball season

Kate Thomson

• signed to play soccer at Sewanee
• a five-year-member of Dominican’s soccer program
• captain of Dominican’s soccer team since her junior year
• last season anchored a defense that recorded 17 shutouts
