Dominican Recognizes Swim Lou Reilly Award Winner and All-Academic Composite Athletes

St. Mary’s Dominican High School honored student-athletes at the Swim Awards night.

Lou Reilly Award

The 2020 Lou Reilly Memorial Award was presented to the athlete who continually improved their skills and who listened to their coaches and teammates. The recipient was recognized for encouraging those playing while she is not in the game, and when playing, gives her full effort at each moment. The student-athletes themselves have a nominating vote in the selection of the award, while the final decisions are left to the discretion of the coaches.

All-Academic Composite Team

A student-athlete’s six-semester GPA must have an unweighted 4.00. The award is presented for exemplary academic achievement by maintaining the highest Grade Point Average among all athletes during their academic career while participating in varsity high school athletics.
