Five Dominican Seniors Sign Athletic Scholarships

St. Mary’s Dominican High School seniors Kate Baker, Kelsey Major, Madison Trauth, Lauren Sekinger, and Sydney Sherman have signed athletic scholarships for the fall 2022-2023 school year.

Kate Baker signed with Louisiana State University to play beach volleyball. The five-year member of the Dominican’s volleyball team was on the 2020 State Championship Volleyball Team, the 2021 State Championship Volleyball Team, and named 2020-21 Gatorade Louisiana Volleyball Player of the Year.

Kelsey Major signed with Louisiana State University to play soccer. The five-year member of Dominican’s soccer team was a member of the 2020 State Runner Up Team and named 2020-21 Gatorade Louisiana Girls Soccer Player of the Year. A five-year member of Dominican’s cross country team, she was the 2020-2021 Gatorade Louisiana Girls Cross Country Player of the Year.

Kelsey Major signed with LSU to play soccer.

 

Madison Trauth signed with Mississippi College to play soccer. She was on Dominican’s Soccer team for five years and a member of the 2020 State Runner Up Team.

Lauren Sekinger signed with Southeastern Florida University to play softball. The five-year member of Dominican’s softball team was on the 2019 State Championship Softball Team.

Sydney Sherman signed with Coastal Alabama Community College to play softball. She was a five-year member of Dominican’s softball team and on the 2019 State Championship Softball Team.
