Dominican’s St. Matthias Alumnae Celebrate 70th Milestone

On the first Saturday of October, 14 alumnae from the Class of 1952 of St. Matthias Elementary School gathered for lunch to mark another milestone – celebrating the 70th year of their graduation. Among them were nine St. Mary’s Dominican High School Class of 1956 members: Judy Moreci Colgan, Sandra Meacham Gutknecht, Jolise Heiderhoff, Georgianne Power Horne, Joy Wille Kohlmaier, Adeline Kelly Nastasi, Harriet Schilling Reuter, Sr. M. Dominic Savio, O.P. (Celeste Estorge), and Patsy O’Brien Toso. St. Matthias was a parochial school with students from kindergarten through the eighth grade. It closed in 1979 after 58 years in operation.
