A Toast of Praise to seniors Kayleigh Jollands and Rachel Zamjahn who have signed college athletic scholarships for the fall 2025-2026 term.
Kayleigh will attend Florida Tech where she will major in engineering. She has a 3.9583 GPA and will be recognized as a 2024 LHSAA All-Academic Team member at Dominican’s athletic awards night. A five-year member of the swim team, Kayleigh’s record includes: one of the captains of the 2024 swim team; member of the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 District and Metro Championship teams; member of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 State Runner-Up teams; member of the state championship 200-yard freestyle and medley relay teams in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 State swim meets; 2021 State Runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke; 2023 State Runner-up in the 200-yard IM.
Rachel will attend Millsaps College with a major in biological science on a pre-med track. Rachel has a 3.9479 GPA and will be recognized as a 2024 LHSAA All-Academic Team member at Dominican’s athletic awards night. She is a five-year member of Dominican’s volleyball team and basketball team. Rachel was a member of the 2022 District Championship teams and the 2022 and 2023 State Championship teams. She has 580 career assists and 215 career digs during her years at Dominican.
