Dominican Senior Livy Eastman Receives $1 Million in Scholarships

St. Mary’s Dominican High School senior Livy Eastman has been offered $1 million in scholarships from Florida State University, Sewanee: The University of the South, Christian Brothers University, Rhodes College, Millsaps College, Louisiana State University (LSU), Mississippi State University, Loyola University New Orleans, The University of Alabama, Auburn University and Louisiana Italian Sports Hall of Fame. She is the daughter of Dawn and McKinley Eastman of Metairie.

The Alpha Honor Roll student and National Merit finalist received the National French Exam Mention D’honneur Award and has dual enrollment in US History and Math through LSU. She is a member of Société Honoraire de Françias, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and National Honor Society. A Student Ambassador at Dominican, she is President of the Biotechnology Club, and member of the French Club, Campus Ministry, Pro-Life Club, Yearbook, and Track and Field.

Her community volunteerism includes CYO member and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, assisting with events at the Henry Aucoin Foundation, and tutoring high school students Biology and French. In 2024, she began an internship at a local veterinary clinic and aspires to pursue a career path in Veterinary Medicine.
