At the February 8 Alexandria FTC competition, the Dominican Ultraviolet won the Think Award and was named an Alliance Captain.

At the FIRST Tech Challenge Louisiana Regional Championship on February 22, the team won 1st in the Innovate Award. This award celebrates a team that thinks imaginatively and has the ingenuity, creativity, and inventiveness to make their designs come to life.
