APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

TO BEGIN THE 8TH GRADE APPLICATION PROCESS

Student enrolled in Catholic elementary school

  • NOVEMBER 2025
    • Catholic elementary schools will distribute the Archdiocese of New Orleans application form on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Student will submit the completed form to her Catholic elementary school on Friday, November 14, 2025. Catholic elementary schools will submit student’s completed application form and academic records to St. Mary’s Dominican High School.
  • DECEMBER 2025
    • Applicant will create an account and complete the Dominican High School application available online here. An email confirmation will be sent once an account has been created. The account will be used to track the application process. Note: A student enrolled in a Catholic elementary school must also complete the Dominican High School application in addition to the Archdiocese of New Orleans application form. The Dominican High School application is due on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
  • JANUARY 2026
    • Attend High School Testing Day on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Mary’s Dominican High School. Please note that the $30 Application Fee will be collected on High School Testing Day.
    • Attend Applicant Interview on an assigned weeknight evening.
    • More information about High School Testing Day and applicant interview will be communicated directly to the applicant and her family in a December mailing and email.

Student enrolled in non-Catholic elementary school

  • NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2025
    • Applicant will create an account and complete the Dominican High School application available online here.
    • Applicant will also submit supporting required documents. An email confirmation will be sent once an account has been created. The account will be used to track the application process. The Dominican High School application and supporting required documents are due on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
  • JANUARY 2026
    • Attend High School Testing Day on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mary’s Dominican High School. Please note that the $30 Application Fee will be collected on High School Testing Day.
    • Attend applicant interviews on an assigned weeknight evening.

TO BEGIN THE TRANSFER APPLICATION PROCESS

Transfer students are students in grades 8-11 that are currently enrolled in another high school. Transfer students are considered on a case-by-case basis and should contact Kailyn Smith for more information regarding the process.
