St. Mary’s Dominican High School will offer physicals through the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine to athletes and members of the Cheer, Debs, and Color Guard squads. All students will have the opportunity to participate in these physicals. A student is not required to come on this day and could take the LHSAA medical form to her doctor or urgent care center.
Parents are to read and sign this form.
Students will not be allowed to take a physical if this form has not been completed.
A student will not be allowed to tryout or participate on an athletic team unless there is a LHSAA physical on file at Dominican. This pertains to 8th, JV, and varsity teams.

BLACKBAUD FINANCIAL AID MANAGEMENT
Applications for the Financial Aid Work Study Program can be obtained through Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. The Work Study Program offers partial tuition reduction in return for on-campus work. Applications are reviewed and families are notified in May.

Son of a Saint Scholars is a School Tuition Organization (STO), selected by the Louisiana Department of Education to help facilitate the state’s Tuition Donation Credit (TDC) Program.

As per Archdiocesan guidelines, acceptance packets were mailed on Thursday, February 16th. If you do not receive your physical acceptance packet by Thursday, February 23, please complete this form to request a new packet. The acceptance packet contains essential information to the registration process.
In order to complete your registration, you must complete the following requirements:
Enrollment Deposit: To manage your daughter’s tuition account, Dominican is partnered with Blackbaud Tuition Management. Incoming students must enroll with Blackbaud Tuition Management and pay the tuition deposit by Monday, March 13, 2023 to secure their place for the 2023-2024 school year. Please note, if you currently have a daughter attending Dominican, your Blackbaud Tuition Management account will reflect your incoming student, therefore, you do not need to re-enroll. Course Selection Sheet must be signed by student and parent and submitted via email to Mr. Al Silvas, Registrar, at asilvas@stmdhs.org by Monday, March 13, 2023. Course Selection Sheets are mailed out with the acceptance packets.
Final Report Card: In order to complete your file, all students must submit a final report card for the 2022-2023 school year by Monday, June 5. Final report cards should be uploaded here.
Yard Sign Pick Up – Parents of newly accepted students can pick up “On My Way To Dominican” yard signs on Friday, February 17 between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM in the Walmsley Avenue foyer. Yard signs will be available in the Walmsley Avenue foyer through March 24. The foyer is open on regular school days from 7 AM to 3:15 PM. Please note that Dominican High School is closed for Mardi Gras break from February 20 until February 24.
Orientation for Incoming Students and Parents: An orientation for new students and their parents will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 9:30 AM. You will have an opportunity to receive information about textbooks, technology, uniforms, and much more.
Walkin’ on Walmsley: This highly encouraged summer orientation program gives incoming students the opportunity to explore their new school, make new friends, and complete technology training. It takes place from July 17 – 21 from 9 AM to 3:00 PM. Click here to register. The registration deadline is May 31st.

Technology Information: As part of our STREAM™ Initiative, students are required to bring a personal computing device to campus daily. Learn more about computer specifications and options here. Please note that this device is required for the Walkin’ on Walmsley program.
Upcoming Tryouts: Accepted students should check the New Student Portal regularly for information regarding tryouts for performance groups and sports teams.
Financial Aid/Work Study Information: Dominican does not grant any full tuition waivers; however, those in financial need may apply for a partial reduction of tuition through the Work Study Program. Academic Scholarship Notifications: Dominican awards several eighth grade partial scholarships based on a student’s elementary school records (standardized test scores, grades, conduct, and effort) and her composite score on the High School Placement Test taken on Application Day. All incoming eighth graders are considered for these scholarships; there is no application process. Students will be notified in May 2023 if they are a recipient of an academic scholarship.
