Get ready for the best years of your life! I chose Dominican for the sisterhood. Feeling comfortable and supported was essential during my high school search. Dominican has exceeded my expectations.

To me, the pillar of community means the most because every other pillar that Dominican is built upon is based in community. This pillar is reflected in my daily life through the community of prayer, the community of study, and the community of service that Dominican provides. Worshipping at Mass, working with classmates to overcome academic challenges, and giving back to the community are all parts of the foundation that forms my identity as a Dominican woman.
Dominican's environment allows and encourages room for growth and improvement. At Dominican, I feel welcomed, accepted, and appreciated.
Although all of the four pillars are important, community is the most important to me. Whether it's the toy drive for Dominican's neighbors or visiting the Chateau de Notre Dame Nursing home, community is essential to the Dominican experience. Within the school’s own community, friendships last lifetimes, and the Dominican bond will never be forgotten.
When I think of Dominican, the pillar of service is a huge part of our experience and therefore stands out the most. From our school-wide service projects like the canned food drive to smaller club efforts, service is one of the most important parts of my Dominican experience.
Dominican offers a valuable education that will help later in life. We also participate in many fun activities such as Rally Day, Bleacher Swap, Carol Off, and grade-level Retreats. At Dominican, you will make friends that turn into family. Overall, Dominican is an incredible school where you can build strong bonds and lasting connections.
I chose to attend St. Mary's Dominican High School for the education and extracurriculars, which allow students to thrive in clubs, athletics, and academics.
Through the Dominican pillar of community, I have become part of a true sisterhood. Dominican’s incredible environment brings us all—students, faculty, and staff—closer together through our shared focus on learning, helping others, and growing closer to God through our Dominican education.
Community is the pillar that means the most to me. I have learned to be a part of something bigger than myself. It is now my fourth year on the Dominican Volleyball team, and I could not be more grateful for my teammates. They are a huge part of the community for me, not only being my friends but a second family. I am so proud to represent my school because of the great community it has.
There were several factors that caused me to choose Dominican. The main one was Dominican’s marching band. I knew I wanted to continue to play music in high school, and I had always admired Dominican’s all-girl band. I am so glad this influenced my decision because I have made some of my best memories at Dominican by being a part of the band, whether it was playing at pep rallies or marching in parades.
