When I walk down the halls, always seeing familiar, smiling faces and getting the best greetings, I see the pillar of community lived out through my friends and teachers.

Through Dominican's pillar of Prayer, I have grown as a daughter of Christ. Through my involvement in Student Preachers, I have had the opportunity to voice my relationship with Christ in the form of prayer. Dominican has given me the opportunity to grow closer with Christ while encouraging others to do the same through prayer.
The pillar of community is probably the pillar most important to me. Being the captain of the Cheerleading team, I have learned how to form meaningful relationships with people and how to support and motivate my teammates. Dominican has made me realize how much I love being a positive influence to others and making them smile.
The pillar of community has been reflected in my daily student experience in many ways. For example, as a new student last year, I was nervous, but the Dominican community helped me realize that I was not alone, and that every one of my classmates will be there to guide me along my journey.
The best way to experience Dominican is to become involved. There are so many different clubs and organizations that you can become a part of as soon as you step onto this campus. I knew that when I spent the day in middle school at the annual Pink Volleyball Game, this was the place for me.
Study is the most important pillar to me. I can actively portray this pillar through my daily studies. Studying is a large part of the Dominican experience and is important to the pursuit of knowledge and growth. Learning and studying new things every day at Dominican has helped me build better habits and helped me become a better person.
Dominican has so much to offer. Students can join so many different clubs as well as welcoming sports teams that will always have your back. Teachers, staff, and coaches are always present to give a helping hand as part of one DHS family.
The Dominican pillar that means the most to me is the pillar of Service. Service is a big part of Dominican, from the Second Harvest Canned Food Drive to the Adopt-a-Family project. Dominican constantly shows us ways to give back to our community.
Community is the most important pillar to me at Dominican. Since I have been at Dominican, I have always felt like I am part of a community of sisters. My Dominican experience has been everything I could have wished for and more!
