Student Profiles

Abbey Sweeney

Drum Major

Dominican's lively atmosphere drew me in. I loved the way everyone always looked so happy and were having fun during activities and in class. Now that I am here, I love partaking in these activities and feeling so at home at school.

Addison Ory

Student Ambassador

Out of the four pillars of Dominican, Prayer stands out the most to me. In order to help me deepen my faith, Dominican offers several opportunities for spiritual growth. The weekly masses, daily prayer, and clubs help me draw closer to the Lord.

Student Profile

Aline Elfer

Class of 2026

Dominican's environment allows and encourages room for growth and improvement. At Dominican, I feel welcomed, accepted, and appreciated.

Although all of the four pillars are important, community is the most important to me. Whether it's the toy drive for Dominican's neighbors or visiting the Chateau de Notre Dame Nursing home, community is essential to the Dominican experience. Within the school’s own community, friendships last lifetimes, and the Dominican bond will never be forgotten.

Alivia Christiansen

National Art Honor Society, President

Being a member of National Art Honor Society since my sophomore year has shown me the value of supportive community both in and out of the classroom, which has helped me pursue my artistic endeavors.

Annalise Gagliano

Swimming – Individual State Champion and Runner Up

The pillar of Community means the most to me because it represents the lifelong friendships I have made at Dominican. Before I started high school, I always heard about the Dominican sisterhood and wanted to be a part of it. Now as a student, I am proud to be a part of the strong Dominican community that values friendship, education, and service to others.

Ardenne Kijko

Robotics

Dominican's community is full of people that want to help you grow and learn. When someone is confused about something there is never any hesitation to help that person out because everyone wants each other to succeed.

Aubrie Duplantis

Debs Dance Team

Dominican offers a valuable education that will help later in life. We also participate in many fun activities such as Rally Day, Bleacher Swap, Carol Off, and grade-level Retreats. At Dominican, you will make friends that turn into family. Overall, Dominican is an incredible school where you can build strong bonds and lasting connections.

Ava Ranson

E-Board, President

You’re not just choosing a school. You’re choosing a community that’s going to support you, challenge you, and help you reach your fullest potential. Dominican is more than just academics; it’s a place where you’ll create lasting friendships, find your passions, and truly belong. The teachers really care about you, and there are so many opportunities to be involved. Whether it's through sports or clubs, we truly have something for everyone. Plus, the atmosphere is welcoming and positive, which makes coming to school something to look forward to every day. If you want a high school experience where you can truly be yourself and thrive, Dominican is the place for you.

Avery Johnston

Speech and Debate Team

Starting high school is definitely one of the most terrifying and anxious experiences, but DHS makes the transition smooth and effortless. All of the risks are 100% worth the rewards. You'll meet tons of new friends before school even starts, and you'll quickly get used to the academic side of things.
