On July 18, the Dominican cheerleaders finished their week at Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) camp held in Baton Rouge.
Among their accomplishments:
- Gold ribbons for their camp cheer, band chant and sideline chant
- Two finalists in the Jump Off – Sara Coogler and Julia West
- Spirit Banana on the second night
- Spirit Stick everyday
- Cheerleaders Aria Dody, Sydney Posecai, Ella Stolberg, and Lexi Daugherty were recognized as All Americans and invited to march in the London New Year’s Day Parade.
- Camp instructors singled out Julia West to receive a Pin It Forward Pin. She was given an extra pin, one to give to a cheerleader from another team who showed leadership and gave 100% like she did.
- Camp Champion in band dance, sideline, cheer and rally dance
- Invitation to National’s in Disney World
- Invitation to perform at the halftime of the Citrus Bowl
Cheerleader Coach Fran Moran added, “The other teams at camp voted for us for the Camp Leadership Award. There wasn’t a goal we set that we didn’t achieve. What a week and what a team! A Toast of Praise to our cheerleaders!”
