Dominican Robotics Teams Advance to FTC Regional Championship

 

St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s two robotics teams took wins at the February 1st FTC qualifier competition. It marked the first time both teams were selected to be part of the same alliance going into the final rounds of robot play. They won the overall robot game play.

The Valkyries ranked 7th and Team Ultraviolet ranked 15th out of 23 teams at the end of robot game play. Both teams were chosen to play in the finals and their Alliance Team won 1st place in robot game play. The Valkyries earned 1st place for Design Award and 2nd place for Think Award. The Ultraviolets took 2nd place for Design Award and 3rd place Think Award. The teams advance to the February 29th regional championship event at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Robotics moderators are Matthew Foss, Crissy Gicaona, Kenneth Lannes, and Madeline Maldonado.
