In early March, students taking Mrs. Claudia Vallejo’s and Mrs. Hannah Pope’s Spanish classes added dance to a class assignment on command and positive phrases. Wanting to make the final part of the assignment fun and different, Mrs. Vallejo instructed her students to design their own fitness t-shirt and write on the shirt their positive phrase in Spanish. In the dance studio on the second floor of Siena Center, music filled the room as Mrs. Vallejo led each of the classes in Latin dance steps for the Salsa, Rumba, and Cha-cha-cha.
