Students in Mrs. Claudia Vallejo’s Spanish AP class interviewed in Spanish and English, via Zoom, author Dr. Andrew Feldman who is the first North American scholar allowed to study in residence at Earnest Hemingway’s home in Cuba.
Dr. Feldman is author of “Ernesto: The Untold Story of Hemingway in Revolutionary Cuba.” The book covers Hemingway’s life from 1939-1960 when he lived off and on in Cuba. It reveals Hemingway’s connection to the people of Cuba, the sea, and other experiences that influenced his writing. Dr. Feldman spent two years conducting research in residence at the Finca Vigia Museum and Research Center in Havana, Cuba. His research included interviews and examining documents that had previously been unbailable to other researchers.
