St. Mary’s Dominican High School seniors Krystal Fernandes (Flute) and Camille Truxillo (Baritone Saxophone) have been selected to perform in the Loyola University Colonel John Bourgeois Honor Band. Colonel Bourgeois is the retired director of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.

St. Mary’s Dominican High School students were selected to perform in the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA) All-State Choir and LMEA All-State Guitar Ensemble. Senior Kathryn Fine-selected to LMEA All-State Senior High Mixed Choir; senior Isabelle Anderson and sophomore Anastasia Redmann – LMEA All-State Senior High Honor Treble Choir; and freshman Marina Vincent-LMEA All-State Senior High Honor Guitar Ensemble. Kathryn Fine and Anastasia Redmann will receive the LMEA Academic All-State Award. Dominican’s Fine Arts Department Chair Brenda Castillo is the school’s Director of the Band and Choir.
