Dominican Collects Thanksgiving Baskets for Neighbors

St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive collected food that filled 102 baskets with all the fixings for hearty and delicious meals for Dominican’s neighbors who reside within the parish of St. Rita Catholic Church. Students, through homerooms, clubs, and organizations, and personnel collected items. Dominican alumnae donated 30 of the baskets, and St. Rita Church donated 108 turkeys. Thanksgiving cards were made by Dominican’s 8th grade class as the service project during their class retreat. Campus Ministry Club members assisted with the distribution of the baskets, and Dominican Dads Club members transferred the baskets from Dominican to St. Rita. Extra items donated to St. Rita’s Food Pantry included canned green beans and corn, cranberry sauce, bags of rice, sugar, stuffing, and instant potatoes.
