Dominican Senior Anastasia Redmann Recipient of the Rev. Thomas E. Chambers Scholastic Award

St. Mary’s Dominican High School senior Anastasia Redmann is recipient of the Rev. Thomas E. Chambers Scholastic Award, presented by Willwoods Community at its April 25th Gala. Anastasia is the daughter of Dr. Kevin Redmann and Jennifer Redmann of New Orleans. The $1500 award is presented each year to one graduating senior male student and one graduating senior female student from an Archdiocese of New Orleans Catholic High School. Criteria is on the candidates’ strong Catholic values, their leadership and service. The award is in memory of Father Tom who served as President of Willwoods Community from 2003 to 2018. A life-long educator and priest of the Congregation of the Holy Cross for 56 years, he was Magistral Chaplain of the Order of Malta, and president of the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans.

Anastasia is an Alpha Honor Roll student (2021-2026), earned a 4.58 cumulative GPA and ACT score of 32. Her honors include: Dominican’s 12th Grade Catholic School Student of the Year nominee (2026); nationally recognized by the College Board (2025); Brandeis University Book Award (2025); National Spanish Exam – Bronze Medal (2025); National Latin ExamSilver Medal on Intermediate Reading Exam (2024), Gold Medal on Intermediate Exam (2023), Silver Medal on Beginning Exam (2022). At State Literary Rally she represented Dominican in Spanish II (2026); received Superior Rating for Treble Solo High Voice performance (2025); awarded Third Place for Latin I (2022).

In leadership she is a Student Preacher (2024-2026); Choir – Secretary/Treasurer (2025-2026), President (2024-2025), Librarian (2023-2024). Her volunteer experience and extracurricular activities include Camp Counselor for Walkin’ on Walmsley, Summer Camp Counselor at Jumpin’ for Joy, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Latin Honor Society.
