As we look forward to the 2016-2017 school year, we want to review the requirements for student personal computing devices.

All students are required to bring a personal computing device to campus daily for the 2016 – 2017. The following specifications for personal computing devices are necessary for our Dominican program of studies. There are several manufacturers who provide devices that comply with or exceed the specifications. Some of them are Microsoft (Surface 3, Pro 3, Pro 4, or Surface Book), HP (Elite Tablet), Asus, Lenovo (Yoga Tablet, ThinkPad, Miix700), Dell (Inspiron Series, Venue Series). Parents are encouraged to research their options for a device and to purchase a durable case and protection (insurance) plan in case of damage. St. Mary’s Dominican High School has partnered with several vendors to provide discount pricing.

Minimum specifications are:

Windows 8 or higher operating system

At least 64 GB Solid State Drive (SSD)

At least 4 GB Random Access Memory (RAM)

Minimum 10.6 inch diagonal screen size

Required specifications are:

Standard Keyboard

USB Port

HDMI Port

No 3G or 4G capability

Preferable specification is:

Touch Screen with Stylus
