Student Profiles

Ava Walker

Cheerleading

To a prospective student considering Dominican, I would say that choosing a high school can feel overwhelming and challenging. Everyone has different needs and thrives in different environments. Dominican offers many opportunities to get involved and ensures you feel welcomed as you adjust to a new environment.

Avery Johnston

Speech and Debate Team

Starting high school is definitely one of the most terrifying and anxious experiences, but DHS makes the transition smooth and effortless. All of the risks are 100% worth the rewards. You'll meet tons of new friends before school even starts, and you'll quickly get used to the academic side of things.

Brielle Dennis

Dominican Debs

Out of the four pillars, Prayer means the most to me. In my daily life as a student, prayer is reflected in the quiet moments I take to center myself before a challenging class or to express gratitude for the incredible opportunities I have to learn and grow. These moments help ground me and strengthen my faith.

Camille and Therese Hymel

Academic Games

I chose Dominican because this school's core values, which are prayer, study, community, and service, are all significant parts of my life. From learning about the world around me, to learning about my faith, to spending time with my friends, to getting involved in community service, Dominican engages me in all aspects of life that mean the most to me. - Camille

Study means the most to me because learning about the world around me and excelling in academics is one of the best things Dominican offers. Studying and learning are two ways that we all grow and develop at Dominican. Dominican's classes and other education opportunities are inclusive of everything I need to learn, and everyone has the opportunity to excel in academics. Thanks to Dominican, I always study with passion for every subject. - Therese

Claudia Cifreo

National Art Honor Society, President

I chose Dominican because I knew I would receive an excellent education that would prepare me for future success. My mother, aunt, and sister all attended Dominican before me, and through their achievements and happiness, they showed me that Dominican is the right choice. Additionally, the opportunity to strengthen my faith while preparing for college and my career played a big role in my decision.

Delaney Durr

Softball

Dominican's community and culture allow me to grow as a person of faith through daily love and support from teachers and friends who want me to succeed.

Eliza Palmisano

Class of 2029

Community is the pillar that means the most to me because it gives me a sense of comfort and belonging. Whether I’m attending a club meeting, chatting with friends at Debpractice, or making new connections, I’m constantly reminded of how important a strong community is within a school. This supportive environment makes all the difference in my Dominican experience.

Emma Bowers

Cheerleading

When I spent the day at Dominican, it was on Ring Day. I immediately could tell that these girls had made life long bonds with teachers and students alike. Some of the seniors, arms linked, ran down the hallway taking pictures with their friends while others were hugging their best friends from other grades or talking with their favorite teachers. These bonds are one of the many reasons I chose Dominican.

Enna Hawes

Student Council, E-Board Vice-President

If you choose Dominican, you’ll discover the strongest sisterhood you’ll ever know waiting for you on the other side of your decision. From the moment you step onto campus, you’ll be welcomed into a big, loving, and supportive family. Choosing Dominican isn’t just about where you’ll go to school—it’s about joining a family and finding a second home.
