Gabrielle Davis

Basketball

When entering high school, many people worry about feeling like an outsider or not being welcomed. With Dominican, I never had to worry about that. I had many options, but none of them gave me the heartfelt feeling that Dominican did. From the very beginning, I never felt like an outsider or unwelcome. The most important thing Dominican teaches is to love everyone, and I felt that love the first time I stepped onto campus. As a soon-to-be high schooler, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feel welcomed—not just tolerated. By attending Spend-a-Days and other events, I truly felt like part of the family. Now, I can honestly say that nothing has changed.

Class of 2028

The pillar of Prayer means the most to me as a Dominican student. I love that our mornings, led by Mrs. Favre, start with prayer as a school community and that each class also begins with prayer. The Student Preachers start our afternoon classes with a beautiful reflection and prayer that I always look forward to.

Grace Blamphin

Student Ambassadors

As a Student Ambassador, I get the chance to share what I love about Dominican with prospective families during recruitment events. It’s a fun and meaningful way for me—and my classmates—to be more involved in our school. This role gives me the opportunity to represent Dominican while showing the pride I feel in being part of this community.

Jovie Leingang

Student Council, E-Board President

I would tell a prospective student that I completely understand how overwhelming it can feel to choose a high school and begin a new chapter in an unfamiliar place. I would encourage them to take the time to explore everything Dominican has to offer. From countless clubs and extracurriculars to meaningful traditions, Dominican provides so many opportunities to meet new people and discover new passions. It’s more than just a school — it’s a home away from home. I truly believe that everyone can find their place here, surrounded by a supportive community that will help them grow and reach their goals.

Dominican, whether you're talking about the community, prayer, service, or even academics, has a special aspect that can make bright-eyed middle-schoolers eager to come and be a part of it all (including me). Not only does Dominican push every single one of us to be more academically inclined, but it also pushes you to step out of your comfort zone with the support of your peers and teachers. Along with a strong sense of community comes close friendships. Seeing everyone forming sisterly bonds that would last a lifetime is what truly made me choose Dominican.

Volleyball

The pillar of Prayer means the most to me. It gives me a sense of peace and grounding, no matter how my day has gone. After a tough practice or a challenging game, taking time before bed to pray and have a quiet conversation with God helps me unwind and reflect. Even on the good days, it’s comforting to take that moment for myself!

Kasey Bartholomew

Class of 2029

I would tell a prospective student that Dominican is more than just a school—it’s a place where you form close friendships and discover who you are. The teachers and community are always there to support you every step of the way. Dominican helps you grow, succeed, and leave knowing you’re part of something truly special.

Kate Gaudet

Cross Country/Track and Field

The Cross Country and Track teams bring me strong, rare community bonds that I wouldn't find anywhere else. I love being able to forget about stress and talk to my supportive, outgoing, and welcoming teammates. They are part of what makes Dominican a unique safe space for me. In addition to my classmates, my teachers truly care about every student and put in so much effort to help us each make academic progress.

Leah Gilmore

Drum Major

I have always admired that Dominican stands for truth and places importance on traditions. When I first stepped foot on campus, I immediately felt a sense of belonging. The beautiful facilities and incredible programs inspired me, and I could not wait to be a part of it.

Dominican is a school that one can be proud to call home. It has a rich history, an excellent reputation, and a beautiful campus. Learning at Dominican is both fun and rewarding.
