The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation (NOHHF) has recognized Maria Affonso Sodre, Lillian Cazabon, Madison Ferguson, Sophia Forest, Taelor Foret, Alondra Gomez-Santos, Jessica Mora, Paige Sarrat, Isabella Soto, Abrial Suarez, and Janelle Ulloa as NOHHF Academic Recognition Scholars. NOHHF is a non-profit community organization whose main purpose is to provide an organized and directed effort in cultivating and promoting the Hispanic heritage of New Orleans and the Southern region.

Created several years ago for high school juniors and seniors, NOHHF Academic Recognition Scholar candidates must have a grade point average of 3.5 or above, plan to attend a four-year college, and are nominated by his or her participating school. NOHHF also selects students who are committed to being involved in the Hispanic community or in Hispanic-related endeavors.
