The Ecology and Stewardship Club members are working with Andrew Shuford, Director of Food Service for Sage, on the school’s herb garden. Veritas Volunteers participated in Boo at the Zoo on October 18 and October 25th. Boo at the Zoo is a Halloween event coordinated by Audubon Zoo and Children’s Hospital. Twenty students volunteered handing out candy and playing games with the children who attended the event. There was also live music and a costume contest.

The Debs Dance Team made every stride count at the Buddy Walk® at Zephrys Stadium on October 25. The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
On October 17, members of the yearbook staff attended an editor-led workshop, where they learned Photoshop techniques and practiced taking photos from various angles. Yearbook editors Chandler Green ’15 and Maya Dancisak ’16 led the workshop with moderators, Ms. Shannon Hauler and Ms. Casey Lefante.
A group of Dominican’s National Art Honor Society members attended an Art Experience at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art where they met with Isidore Newman School students in the Advanced Placement Studio Art class and their teacher.
